I wish to extend my most grateful thanks to all that took time to attend my seminars at the 2008 Springfield (MA) RV & camping show; “Work Camping…is it for you?” I had the idea that Baby Boomers and work camping would go together but to have a standing room only group attend, was …well…Thanks!

As I told everyone at the Show I will be at Acadia National Park in Maine this summer working as a Driver/Guide. Please follow this years adventure as I record my touring of Mount Desert Island and the area on this site.

GLACIER SCHEDULED TO VISIT 2008 SPRINGFIELD (MA) RV CAMPING & OUTDOOR SHOW

Slow moving glacier expected to miss the show but is sending a representative in its place.

No, not an ice cube but a Glacier National Park red bus “Jammer” driver is coming soon to a camping show near you!

The most revered and identifiable symbol of our national parks – especially Glacier National Park – are the restored antique open-topped red touring buses. This generation of motor coach has been at Glacier since 1936. The buses have been driven on the Going-To-The-Sun Road every year (except during World War II) ’til 1999, when they were finally declared too old.

The fleet was soon thereafter restored through the generosity of Ford Motor Co. and returned to the Park in 2002 amidst a raging snowstorm.

“Jammer” Bernie (Jwaszewski) drove red bus #89 during the 2006 tourist season and will be at the 2008 Springfield RV, Camping and Outdoor Show scheduled for February 15-18, 2008 at the Eastern States Exposition grounds in West Springfield, Mass. “Jammer” Bernie will share his experiences of living on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation and driving the best darn set of wheels on the most scenic road in America. Come learn about being a “work camper” and how to have your own stories to tell.
